Avid Symphony

Avid Symphony is a high-end editorial finishing system designed to offer the fastest, most complete conform of projects finished on Media Composer and other offline systems. With a wide-ranging toolset including non-linear real time scene-to-scene digital color correction, motion tracking, DVE, character generator, Ultimatte keying, and advanced paint and effects, the Symphony is quickly establishing the new standard for online finishing.

Working at uncompressed digital 601 resolution, the key to Avid Symphony's creative power is its ability to recreate your Avid session with edits, transitions, effects, and audio settings already in place. Symphony's digital archiving function now allows sessions to be cost-effectively stored and recreated at a later date.

The Symphony's Universal Finishing options for 30fps NTSC, 25fps PAL, and 24 Progressive provide a range of editing and output capabilities. Symphony also provides a powerful integrated Pan and Scan tool for projects requiring 16:9 or 4:3 aspect ratio reformatting and mastering. Finalé offers a wide range of enhanced toolsets including Sapphire, Cinelook, After Effects, and Photoshop to increase our editors' creative finishing options.

Digital Component Online

Finalé's Digital Room offers the tools and confidence of a traditional Digital Betacam linear online along with the flexibility of layering provided by nonlinear digital disk recorders. The picture quality of Abekas' 8150 10-bit serial digital switcher and DVE system is spectacular, whether working in 4:3 or 16:9 wide screen ratio. The suite offers enhanced digital keying and powerful reTouch colour correction along with motion blur and noise reduction capabilities. The suite is controlled by a powerful Axial 2010 edit controller offering extended device control and the ability to recreate edit parameters next week or next year.
